A solo marketer managing several channels needs one tool that keeps the brand in memory and turns one idea into a post for each channel, plus a way to schedule and read results without logging into every network. Daoco does that from one chat for $49 a month after a 2-month free trial. If you would rather assemble it yourself, ChatGPT or Claude with a brand project, Canva for visuals, and Buffer's free plan for scheduling is the lowest-cost stack that works.
We checked each vendor's own product and pricing pages in November 2026. Every fact below links to the page it came from. Prices are in US dollars. Daoco is our product, so each section says when another tool is the better pick.
What a one-person team needs
A solo marketer does the planning, writing, design, publishing, and reporting alone. For that person we looked at four questions.
- Brand memory. Does the AI keep your voice and facts between sessions, or do you paste them every time?
- One idea, many channels. Can it turn one piece of content into a version for each network?
- Publishing. Does it schedule and post to the networks you use?
- Results. Does it read performance back so you know what to repeat?
We also looked at the price for one person, since a per-seat or per-channel price changes the answer when you run five or six accounts alone.

Daoco
Best for one person running several channels from one place.
Daoco learns your brand from your website, social profiles, and files, and keeps it as a brand memory you can edit, so you do not paste guidelines into each request. You ask in chat, and Daoco plans the campaign, writes a version for each channel, makes images, and saves drafts. It publishes to X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, and Pinterest. For Reddit it drafts the post and hands you a pre-filled link, so you post from your own account. Newsletter drafts go to beehiiv, Kit, Ghost, or Mailchimp, and published posts carry the results each platform reported (Daoco post analytics).
Your brand's approval settings decide what waits for your OK before it goes out. If you work with a client or a legal reviewer, they can sign off from an email link with no account (Daoco Reviews). A personal assistant on WhatsApp or iMessage can take requests and run recurring tasks, so a weekly post plan does not depend on you opening the dashboard.
Starter is $49 a month for one marketer, with two brands and a monthly token allowance. The first two months are free with no card (Daoco pricing).
Pick something else if you need a shared social inbox or social listening (Hootsuite), or if you already have a writing tool you like and only need scheduling (Buffer).
Buffer
Best for cheap, simple scheduling.
Buffer schedules to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Substack (Buffer pricing). The free plan connects up to 3 channels for one user and includes the AI Assistant, which generates post ideas, repurposes a post into formats for other platforms, and adjusts tone and length (Buffer AI Assistant).
Essentials is $5 per channel a month and adds full analytics history and reports. Approval workflows are on the Team plan at $10 per channel a month. A solo marketer with six channels on Essentials pays about $30 a month.
The AI Assistant works on the post in front of you. We found no stored brand profile on Buffer's pricing or AI pages, so you bring the voice yourself.
Pick something else if you want the tool to plan and write the week for you, not only post it.
Hootsuite
Best for listening and competitor benchmarks.
Hootsuite's AI assistant, Wisdom, drafts content "in your brand's voice, tailored to each channel" (Hootsuite AI). The Standard plan includes 10 social accounts, AI post and image generation, brand and competitor monitoring, and benchmarking against up to 5 competitors (Hootsuite plans). There is a 14-day free trial.
Standard starts at $99 per user a month, billed annually. For one person that is twice Daoco Starter and far more than Buffer, so it makes sense when listening is a real part of the job.
Pick something else if you publish a blog or newsletter too, or if $99 a month is more than your whole tool budget.
ChatGPT or Claude with a brand project
Best for drafting on a small budget.
Both assistants let you keep brand files and instructions in a project, so every chat inside it starts with that context. ChatGPT lists projects on its free plan, and Plus adds scheduled tasks (ChatGPT pricing). Plus is $20 a month and Go is $8 a month (ChatGPT plan prices). Claude's free plan allows up to 5 projects, and Pro is $17 a month billed annually or $20 billed monthly (Claude pricing).
For one person this is the cheapest way to get good drafts. It does not publish or read results, so you copy each draft into a scheduler and check each network's analytics yourself. To keep the brand project from drifting, see how to stop repeating brand guidelines in every AI prompt.
Pick something else when copying drafts between tools takes longer than writing them.
Canva
Best for visuals across every channel.
Canva is where many solo marketers make their images, carousels, and short videos. Brand Kits keep your logos, colors, and fonts in one place (Canva Brand Kit). On Pro and Business, the Content Planner schedules designs to networks including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest (Canva scheduling). Canva has a free plan, and its paid plans are priced by region (Canva pricing).
Canva is a design tool first. It does not plan a campaign or write a week of posts from your brand's positioning. Daoco connects to Canva, so you can keep designing there and have Daoco open, export, or resize those designs.
Pick something else if writing, not design, is where your week goes.
Jasper
Best for long-form writing with strict brand rules.
Jasper stores brand voices, knowledge, and audiences. Pro includes 1 seat, 2 brand voices, 5 knowledge assets, and 3 audiences for $59 a month billed yearly or $69 billed monthly, with a 7-day free trial (Jasper pricing).
It is strong at producing on-brand copy. It does not list native social publishing, so a solo marketer pairs it with a scheduler. Pro alone costs more than Daoco Starter. We compare the two in Daoco vs Jasper.
Pick something else if you want drafts published and measured from the same place.
Zapier
Best for gluing separate tools together.
If you keep separate tools, Zapier moves work between them: a new draft in a document becomes a scheduled post, or a published post lands in a spreadsheet. The free plan includes 100 tasks a month and basic access to Zapier Agents. Pro starts at $19.99 a month billed annually for 750 tasks (Zapier pricing).
Automations save copying, but someone still has to fix them when an app changes. For one person, fewer handoffs often beat more automations.
Pick something else if the stack you are automating has more than three or four tools. Consolidating may be simpler.
How to choose for a one-person team
- Count your channels first. Per-channel pricing (Buffer) is cheap at three channels and adds up at ten. Per-user pricing (Hootsuite, Jasper) is the same at any channel count but starts higher.
- Decide where your hours go. If writing takes most of the week, start with brand memory: Daoco, Jasper, or a chat assistant with a project. If posting and checking results take most of it, start with a scheduler.
- Count the handoffs. Every tool you add is a copy and paste. A chat assistant, Canva, Buffer, and a spreadsheet can work, but each draft passes through four places.
- Run one real week through a trial. Daoco's trial is two months, Hootsuite's is 14 days, and Jasper's is 7 days. Buffer, Canva, ChatGPT, Claude, and Zapier have free plans. Plan, write, publish, and report one week in each setup you are considering, then compare the time.
